Research
Through research into issues relating to participation and engagement, including educational disadvantage and how it can be overcome, the University seeks to contribute to national social inclusion challenges.

The Pro Vice Chancellor, Equity and Student Engagement, has allocated $200,000 under the Higher Education Participation and Partnership Program to encourage initiatives that focus on attracting students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds (low SES) to higher education, and enhance mechanisms that support their participation once enrolled at the University. Equity Innovation Grants for 2013 have closed and applications are currently under consideration.
